Year THREE in Zacango here we come...

It's been a little while since we've posted pictures so there are quite a few posts. Keep clicking on older posts below to see the new pics.
As some of you already know, we are now the proud owners of our very own burro (donkey)!!! We had always dreamed of it when we found out we were moving to Mexico and had been talking about it for a while but I never really thought it would happen. There were none for sale in Zacango so a friend of ours offered to take us to the nearby town of Ixcimilpa to go "burro shopping" (apparently it's a place known for having a lot of burros). Here are Jose Berto, Jose, and Miguel accompanying us on the trip.
Taking him for a test drive.

Loading him up, below.
Driving him home. As it turns out Bruce is the guy who is super into the burro and wants to be riding all the time. People in Zacango are really excited for us and are busy giving us all kinds of advice on how to care for him. We realize that we probably won't work him as hard as burros are used to being worked around here (they are a vital part of work here doing everything from hauling water several times a day to plaughing the fields) so we've offered his services to anyone who wants to use him for work. His name is "Taco."

As per usual, I'm just tickled to hear about all your adventures. It sounds like you are really thriving where you are, and that for us is exciting. I love the donkey, can't wait to hear about how many babies Hizee's guinea pig has, and what will come of the basketball game between the German and Mexican guys. Oh, and how Bruce will find his true love of Math, probably out with Taco!
