What's the key to winning votes in rural Mexico...promise FREE fertilizer! This sign on our neighbour's fence post reads "Yes, I am going to have free fertilizer!" The fertilizer that farmers in our area currently use is heavily subsidized by the government with rumoured threats of the subsidies being removed. Hence, this candidate for governor's promise, I suppose.
Bruce and I really get a kick out of this sign and really cracked ourselves up when one of our neighbors tied the sign to the backside of his donkey! It seems that others see some humour in it too!
