Waiting at the Crusero

On the morning of Zacango`s turn to process into Olinala we walked the gravel road out of Zacango and waited for the whole community to arrive at the ``crusero``(the crossing where the gravel road to Zacango meets the paved road to Olinala) so that we could continue with the procession into Olinala. It was a great chance to check out everyone`s masuchis and to hear the young boys boast about how many levels of flowers were on their (or their dad`s) masuchis; and how much heavier their masuchi was compared to the next person. It was quite entertaining!
